I just noticed that it has been quite some time since I have written in my blog...like a really long time!!!
Lately, I have been so busy because I was in Roller Derby and I practice 3 times a week. I have began to fall behind a bit in school so I am on a short break until November for that.
Meanwhile, school is good. Cindy is up in Lander and Kendall is down in Kansas City making money for the family. It is hard to believe that they are going to be officially up in Lander soon. I guess there will be a lot of visits up there!
On the guy front...I laugh. Lots of dates- not many second dates because I get bored on the first date. I, sadly, don't really care that much either! I have been having a great time just being happy with myself and doing whatever I want, when I want. It makes me laugh a lot when I see people out there in this world just letting themselves be taken advantage and when they are apparently scared of being alone. I find it especially hilarious when these people are younger then me. I have moved on from feeling sorry for them because well come on! I mean if you are going to keep putting yourself in a situation you are not happy with- Don't complain to me!
Any who! I leave for Knoxville on Friday morning for the Knoxville Brewfest and to visit the brother and his fiance- Lauren! I am super excited to go to Knoxville! I have yet to see Adam's house even though he has lived in his house for a couple of years now. Lauren and Adam are going to be getting married in New Jersey on June 25 and I am super excited. It will be my first time in New Jersey ever! And the wedding I know is going to be beautiful and a lot of fun!
Okay...I am battling a horrible cold so I am going back to bed...I promise to post more!!!

Wow- you are how old? and you are what? Excuse me!?
Lately I have begun to wonder and before I get too in depth I would like people to know that before they get insulted...its not my intentions and just read on...trust me.
This realization that I will soon divulge that is long and very in depth, came to me tonight at cosmic bowling when a guy who is 22 came up to me and started chit chatting. He was cute, had a good smile, was interesting, and seemed like a good guy until one of his friends (who i know from league bowling) mentioned he was married, had two kids (7 and 1) and was trying his normal pick up lines with me (because he-the married father- was use to girls being idiots playing into his game). I naturally said something to him but that is not what this blog is about.
I began to wonder tonight when I was dropping people off at their respective homes, why is it that people in certain areas get married so young? Is this because I was raised in a city and they were raised in the "country"?
Exhibit A: Gary and Nikki: Madly in love. High School Sweethearts. Two people that are so very right for each other and found each other so long ago (relatively "long ago" we are young so hey its relative!). Raising a handsome HANDSOME young man. And an exhibit of two people I feel will always, no matter what, have each others back.
Exhibit B: Karl and Amber: Two people who I was definitely protective of both of them when they started dating, but went through thick and thin, got strong, and had a look in their eyes that was something I am glad to witness from day one. Also, raising a handsome smart young man that looks more and more like his father everyday and is nothing short of amazing.
Exhibit C: Last but certainly NOT least: Cindy and Kendall: two people that I am happy everyday to call my framily and think about their family constantly. These two had a spark from day one that was nothing short of amazing. As soon as Cindy and I took our adventure across the States the day after we met each other, I knew we would be life long friends that NO MATTER WHAT would never go away. The love they had was an instant lock of eyes and passionate arguing about little things but still never hurtful and would never NOT end with amazing kisses between them. Two people who are now engaged but have to amazing almost 4 years olds that I am proud to be in their lives as Aunti Em.
Back to my point. These three great couples-so in love and happy (all with boys by the way-odd...how is there only one girl :)) fell in love at such a young age.
Now granted, I was engaged and much in love, but felt like it wasn't right. Is this because of how I was raised? because of the city? or because i felt like I was missing out?
I do not know the answers to any of these questions. I just know that if I was in my 30s like Jesse Taylor or Jim Osborne who found their one true loves I wouldn't mind.
OR if I was like Jesse Brown or Fritz Mercer who lived the dream, didn't have a care in the world, and plain and simple knew who they were and loved every second life had to offer them- I wouldn't be missing out.
HOWEVER, when I see a married man with children hitting on a single kinda older woman- I thank my lucky stars I was never in this position and quite frankly if I was his wife, knew his behavior, that kid would be sleeping on a park bench for years before I talked to him agaiin!!
All and all- its okay to be like Gary and Nikki, Amber and Karl, Cindy and Kendall, Jesse and Jim, or Jesse, or Fritz, it doesn't matter because all of these people are being true to themselves, following their hearts, living their dreams, and are just plain and simple being happy!!!

Marley- and no i don't wanna talk about it
"Said said
Said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
Oba, ob-serving the hypocrites
As they would mingle with the good people we meet
Good friends we have had, oh good friends we've lost along the way
In this bright future you can't forget your past
So dry your tears I say
No woman, no cry
No woman, no cry
Oh my Little sister, don't she'd no tears
No woman, no cry
Said, said, said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire light
Log wood burnin' through the night
Then we would cook corn meal porridge
Of which I'll share with you
My feet is my only carriage
So I've got to push on through
But while I'm gone...
Everything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
Ev'rything's gonna be alright
No woman, no cry
No, no woman, no woman, no cry
Oh, little sister, don't she'd no tears
No woman, no cry
No woman, no woman, no woman, no cry
No woman, no cry
Oh, my little darlyn no she'd no tears
No woman, no cry, yeah
any sister no she'd no tears, no women no cry
No woman no cry, no woman no cry
No woman no cry, no woman no cry
Say, say, said I remember when we used to sit
In a government yard in Trenchtown
Obba, obba, serving the hypocrites
As the would mingle with the good people we meet
Good friends we have, oh, good friends we've lost
Along the way
In this great future,
You can't forget your past
So dry your tears, I say

So I've got to push on thru
Oh, while I'm gone
Everything 's gonna be alright, everything 's gonna be alright
Everything 's gonna be alright, everything 's gonna be alright
Everything 's gonna be alright, everything 's gonna be alright
Everything 's gonna be alright, everything 's gonna be alright

Wow- long time no post...
Well, it has been quite a long time since I have posted so it is about time that I do a quick update.
I am about to finish my third week back in school. It is a little rough getting back into the swing of things, but I am certainly enjoying myself. It is very interesting being one of the oldest people in all of my classes - especially when the other students find out that I am getting my masters degree and another bachelors...I think they may be a little bit intimidated. Tomorrow, is my first test in my Geography class which shouldn't be that bad. I truly believe that I am well prepared for it! Hopefully it will turn out the way I plan and I will be spending another semester on the dean's list!
The past couple of weekends I have spent in Green River hanging out with Fritz and playing poker. Last weekend I was only there for Saturday but it was certainly a good time. I conned Fritz and his roomie into grilling some steaks that I brought up. They were delicious!!! It has been a long time since I had a great steak and I was stuffed the rest of the night.
I do have to mention that it has been a little bit lonely in Laramie these past couple of weeks. Mel is up in Casper doing her student teaching but I am lucky that I still see her a fair amount of time because she catches rides down from Casper. This weekend she will be coming into town on Friday and then I will be taking her back up to Casper on Sunday. We plan on going to see a local band play in Centennial: Patti Fiasco!! Awesome band and it has been a while since we have all seen them play. Hopefully we can talk Mischkey to come too.
Even though it has been a bit lonely I have had a lot of time to get to know Powers a lot better and we have been watching Weeds on a weekly basis at her house. Also, I have been having a great time hanging out with Sean. Speaking of which, our bowling team is doing really well this part of the bowling season. We have two new people: Angie and Ryan Taylor.
hmmm... I guess nothing else new in my neck of the woods... hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon. AND hopefully there will be more interesting things to post...
muah!

I've been Gilmored...please don't do it again!
So this past week I took Batman and Sage to Omaha with me - due to an unforeseen emergency the Hayfords were dealing with. Thank goodness Aidan is out of the hospital now and is looking better- from what I can tell in the pictures! YAY!!
Omaha was a great time away from Laramie and i really needed it because i had to get some doctor's visits done and pick up more of my stuff from my parents house. I naturally went over to my Grandparents house for dinner...oddly enough my grandma was talking up a storm about one of my cousins friend...then as I am loading my truck up i receive a text message from my Aunt Mindy saying: "We are sitting at a bar with some really handsome nice college guys."
Really people...Really? While i understand and appreciate the fact that my family wants me to be happy I insist that they please do not continue to hook me up with guys. I have no problem whatsoever finding men in Laramie...thank you but no thank you!
ugh...
No much else new here in my world except i am starting school tomorrow!!! whoot whoot!
